PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The Yale men's and women's fencing teams competed at the Elite Invitational hosted by the University of Pennsylvania on Saturday. Both squads recorded a 3-1 record against some of the top teams in the nation.
The men's team picked up wins over Cleveland State, No. 5 Penn State, and LIU before ultimately falling to the University of North Carolina in the day's final matchup. The women's squad followed suit with identical wins over the same opponents while ending the event with a loss to the Tar Heels.
