CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – It should be an exciting Sunday finish for the Yale women's swimming and diving team at the HYP meet at Harvard's Blodgett Pool. The Bulldogs will enter the final day with a 99-51 lead over Harvard and just a one-point deficit to Princeton. The Tigers lead Yale 75.5-74.5.
The Bulldogs had several strong Day 1 performances. The 200 medley relay team of
Lindsey Wagner, Jessey Li, Alex Massey and
Ophelia Pilkinton won with a time of 1:38.78.
Wagner also won the 100 backstroke in 53.35. Li and Massey were also individual winners. Li captured the 100 breaststroke in 1:00.93, while Massey was 200 butterfly winner in 1:57.04.
Other winners for the Bulldogs were
Ally Bernier in the 400 IM and
Paige Lai in the 3-meter diving.
The start to Sunday's final round is set for noon.
