PHILADELPHIA and AMHERST, Mass. – Friday was a standout day for the Yale women's track and field team, as two school records fell during the second day of competition at the prestigious Penn Relays. With just two weeks to go before the Outdoor Ivy League Championships, Yale athletes made the most of their final tune-up weekend. Full results from the Penn Relays can be found here. Meanwhile, in Amherst, Mass., more Bulldogs delivered strong performances at the Ken O'Brien Pre-Conference Meet, earning several personal records and season bests. Full results from the Pre-Conference Meet can be found here.

Penn Relays:
  • Sophomore Lucija Grd set a new school record in the 100m hurdles, clocking 13.80 seconds with a 1.5 m/s tailwind.
  • The 4x400m relay team of senior Peyton Parker, sophomore Gloria Guerrier, junior Molly Harding and sophomore Victoria Guerrier also made history, setting a school record with a time of 3:40.36. Yale was the top Ivy League finisher in the event, placing ahead of both Cornell and Columbia.
  • In the long jump, senior captain Dominique Romain earned a second-place overall finish and was the highest-placing Ivy League athlete. Her mark of 5.94m came just shy of her personal best of 6.00m.
  • First-year Anna Siciliano posted a personal best of 14.00m in the shot put, narrowly missing out on a spot in the finals.

Ken O'Brien Pre-Conference Meet:
  • The Bulldogs saw a wave of personal bests in the 1500m, led by first-year Zoe Martonfi, who placed third overall with a time of 4:27.31. She was followed by sophomore Kalista Villatoro (4:31.34), first-year Sylvie Sanok Dufallo (4:36.44) and senior Kylie Goldfarb (4:39.02), each delivering strong performances.
  • In the 400m dash, senior Bridget Vitu clocked a new personal best of 56.14, earning a fourth-place overall finish.
  • Junior Cara Joyce ran her fastest 800m of the season, finishing third overall with a time of 2:13.87.

Up Next:
  • The Bulldogs will return to action Saturday for the third and final day of the Penn Relays. On Sunday, additional field athletes from Yale will compete at the Ken O'Brien Pre-Conference Meet.
