ORLANDO, Fla. — The Yale women's track and field team took part in the second day of UCF's Black and Gold Invitational on Saturday. After a week of warm-weather training and a strong performance on the first day, the Bulldogs made the most of the competitive atmosphere, delivering impressive results and two new school records in the 800m and 100m hurdles.

The Bulldogs:
- Sophomore Victoria Guerrier was Yale's top finisher in the 800m, cranking out a 58.00 second first lap and holding strong to finish in 2:03.07. With this mark, she broke Yale's outdoor school record of 2:03.41, which was set in 2011 by Kate Grace '11.
- Senior Iris Bergman and junior Linde Fonville also set personal records with Yale Top 10 All-Time marks of 2:06.73 and 2:08.26 in Guerrier's heat of the 800m, while first year Sylvie Sanok Dufallo and junior Anna Chamberlin set PRs with times of 2:12.37 and 2:12.71 in the following heat.
- In the 100m hurdles, sophomore Lucija Grd ran a 14.17, finishing second in her heat. Grd set Yale's new school record in the event, breaking the 14.19 run by Sydney Holmes '21 in 2017.
- After competing in the 400m hurdles the previous day, sophomore Gloria Guerrier ran a 55.88 in the 400m, just shy of her personal best. Senior Peyton Parker, also returning from the 400m hurdles, set a new personal record of 56.36 in the 400m.
- In the 100m dash, both sophomore Juliette Kosmont and captain Dominique Romain broke the 12 second mark. Kosmont clocked in at 11.92, while Romain ran a personal best of 11.97 – both top 10 all-time times for Yale in the event.
- In the discus, sophomore Emma Peretti recorded a throw of 38.28m, while first year Anna Siciliano followed closely with a mark of 36.81m.
- Sophomore Alexandra Bonn posted a jump of 11.04m in the triple jump.
- The 4x100m relay team of Romain, junior Molly Harding, Grd and Kosmont secured second in their heat with a time of 45.97. The 4x400m relay team of Bergman, Chamberlin, Sanok Dufallo and Fonville finished under four minutes, crossing the line in 3:56.30.
Up next:
- Next weekend, the Bulldogs are set to split up for the first time this season. Some distance runners will travel to Raleigh, N.C., for the Raleigh Relays Mar. 27-29, while other athletes will compete at another Black and Gold Invitational on Mar. 28-29 in Smithfield, R.I. (not to be confused with the Black and Gold Invitational in Florida this past weekend).
