Yale (5-0, 0-0 Ivy League) grabbed a 4-1 lead in the game's first 8:04, but Rutgers would not let the Bulldogs pull away. The Scarlet Knights trailed 6-3 at halftime, then scored the first goal of the second half to get within two. Yale answered with three straight goals, though, including two from senior midfielder
Sky Carrasquillo. The Bulldogs led 10-5 heading into the fourth quarter and allowed Rutgers (3-2, 0-0 Big Ten) only one shot in the final frame.
STATISTICAL LEADERS
- Senior attacker Jenna Collignon had a game-best five goals and five points.
- Vaughn had a game-best three assists.
- Carrasquillo had a game-best six ground balls. That is the most in a game for a Yale player since Feb. 18, 2023 (when Payton Vaughn '23 had six).

- Lane had a game-best seven draw controls. That is the sixth time in her career she has had seven or more draw controls in a game.
TURNING POINT
- After Rutgers scored to pull within 6-4 at 13:46 of the third, Carrasquillo got the draw control and scored off an assist by Vaughn. The goal came just 69 seconds after Rutgers' goal, and it sparked a 3-0 run by Yale.
