STEPHENVILLE, Texas – The Yale softball team opened its 2025 season with a hard-fought 7-5 loss to Tarleton State at the Tarleton Softball Complex. The Bulldogs nearly erased a six-run deficit, but the Texans held on for the win, improving to 7-4 on the season.

- Ella Cross shined in her collegiate debut, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and one run scored.
- Isabella Fortini also went 2-for-3, adding one RBI and one run scored.
