NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Bulldogs are back on the diamond and ready to hit the ground running as they begin the 2025 season. The squad will open the season in Texas, where they will face Tarleton State in a single game on Friday, Feb. 21. After their matchup with the Texans, the team will turn their attention to the sixth annual Boerner Invitational, hosted by UT Arlington.

A Look Back at 2024
After sharing the Ivy League regular season title for the first time since 1993, the Bulldogs earned a spot in their second-straight Ivy League Tournament.Â
Back on the Diamond
- The Bulldogs' upperclassmen core is back and leading the charge are seniors Katie Donahey, SJ Mull, Alex Perren, Mady Smith, Sophie Woodridge, Lauren Perren, Maddie Latta, and Hannah Turner, all returning for their final season with experience and leadership.
- Joining them are juniors Emma Taylor, Libby Peoples, Ava Kang, and Mariah Niday, who bring another year of skill and determination to the lineup.
- Meanwhile, sophomores Isabella Fortini, Elena Ohe, Kaitlyn Oikle, and Meredith Henderson return for their second season, eager to build on their foundation and make an even bigger impact.
New to New Haven
Yale welcomes six new members to the squad:

Captain Mull
SJ Mull, a native of Slidell, La., has been elected to lead the Bulldogs this season. "She embodies everything it means to wear the 'Y' and be a Yale Softball player, and she has every day of her career here," said Coach
Laura Ricciardone on Mull's appointment.

On the Horizon
After their time in Texas, the Bulldogs will head to Arizona for the Sun Devil Invitational, beginning Friday, Feb. 28. They will face UTEP, Arizona State, Seattle, and Grand Canyon over a two-day stretch.
