BOSTON, Mass. — The Yale women's track and field team competed Friday at the John Thomas Terrier Classic at the BU Track & Tennis Center in Boston. The day was marked by two record-breaking performances — one in the 800m and another in the 4x400m relay — along with personal bests in every event. Full results are available here.

Bulldog Performances

• Sophomore Victoria Guerrier won her heat and set a new school record in the 800m with a time of 2:04.03. The previous record of 2:04.72 was set in 2009 by Kate Grace '11, who went on to compete in the Olympics.
• Sophomore Gloria Guerrier came close to breaking Yale's 500m record, finishing in 1:12.21, a personal best. She placed third overall.
• The Yale 4x400 relay, featuring the Guerrier twins alongside senior Bridget Vitu and junior Molly Harding, set a new school record, clocking in at 3:40.00 — more than a second faster than the previous record. They finished second overall, narrowly behind Harvard, who set a BU facility record, while edging out strong competition from Stanford and BYU.
• Senior Iris Bergman posted a time of 2:46.74 in the 1k, moving into third place on Yale's all-time list, just milliseconds behind the second-fastest time. First-year Zoe Martonfi also ran the 1k, setting a personal record of 2:52.78.
• In the 3k, sophomore Hebe Chadwick won her heat in decisive fashion and earned a personal best time of 9:35.81.
• Junior Charlotte Whitehurst capped off the night with a strong performance in the 5k, finishing 25 laps of the indoor track in 16:40.24 — an impressive 15-second improvement on her previous personal best.
