SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Prior to this season, junior goaltender
Pia Dukaric had already cemented herself as one of the best netminders in program history. On Saturday, she added to her terrific Bulldogs' legacy by earning a shutout over Union to become Yale's all-time leader in that category. Dukaric did not concede a goal and stopped 16 shots to record her 17
th shutout in her historic collegiate career.
Dukaric passed Jackee Snikeris (2007-11) to place herself atop the Bulldogs leaderboard. She achieved the feat in only 72 games, and still has a year of eligibility remaining.
In Saturday's contest, the Bulldogs topped Union 4-0 on the road to get back in the win column. Four different players tallied goals for the visitors. Yale improves to 12-12-1 overall with a 9-8-1 mark in the ECAC.
