NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's ice hockey team dropped an ECAC matchup to No. 10 Saint Lawrence 4-2 on Saturday afternoon at Ingalls Rink. Following a high-scoring opening period, the Saints scored the game-winner in the second period and added an empty-netter late in the third to seal the victory.

With the win, Saint Lawrence improves to 18-8-0 with a 11-3-0 conference record. The Bulldogs drop to 10-11-0, and sit at 7-7-0 in the ECAC.

"Today was a back-and-forth game that tested us again late. We didn't get the results we wanted, but the third period was fast-paced and we had our chances to score," said Mark Bolding, the Susan Cavanaugh Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "Nice to see Vita get one as she been working hard to help out offensively for a while."

• P1, 5:57 | The Saints got on the board first with a goal by Anna Segedi.
• P1, 11:10 | GOAL! As Elle Hartje battled two Saints defenders on the near-side boards, she flipped the puck out to Stephanie Stainton. The first year took a quick shot on the net which was deflected by Saint Lawrence goaltender, Emma-Sophie Nordstrom, in front of the net. Stainton collected her own rebound and fired a wrister giving the Bulldogs their first goal of the game.
• P1, 16:28 | GOAL! The Bulldogs skated into the offensive zone and Gracie Gilkyson threw a shot on net, which was stopped by Nordstrom who was unable to control the puck. The rebound went straight to Vita Poniatovskaia who scored on the ensuing wrist shot, giving the Bulldogs a 2-1 lead.
• P1, 17:07 | Under one minute later, the Saints tied the game on a score by Abby Hustler.
• END OF 1 | The high-paced opening frame ended with a combined four goals and 25 shots between the two teams.
• P2, 18:20 | Hustler added her second goal of the game to give the Saints a 3-2 lead heading into the final stanza.
• P3, 19:18 | Saint Lawrence capped off the victory with an empty-net goal.

Game Notes

• Saint Lawrence completed the season series sweep against the Bulldogs following a win at home on Nov. 17.
• Stainton netted her eighth goal of the season which is currently tied for the team lead.
• Hartje earned her team-leading 17^th assist and program record 105^th. She has 153 career points, just 11 away from tying the all-time Yale record.
• In her first two games at winger, Gilkyson has tallied one goal and one assist.
• Poniatovskaia scored her third goal of the season.
• Pia Dukaric recorded 24 saves in goal for the Bulldogs.
