The Yale softball squad is back at 5K Corral Field to begin a five-game home stand this week. The Bulldogs begin the journey with a pair of non-conference games against Sacred Heart on Wednesday.
Scouting Yale
- The Bulldogs are 15-18 overall and 7-8 in the Ivy League heading into Wednesday's match against SHU.
- Maddie Latta and Libby Peoples have heavily contributed to Yale's offense. Latta is second on the team in batting average (.293) and has picked up 24 hits and 12 RBI. Peoples has a .281 batting average and leads the team in extra-base-hits with 11 doubles, three triples and two home runs. Additionally, the first year has 15 RBI. Both Latta and Peoples are a perfect 6-for-6 on the base path.
- Latta has also been a solid contributor for the Bulldogs in the circle. The sophomore has a 5-2 record and pitched 47.2 innings.
- Willa Ferrer leads the team in batting average (.315) and hits (29), while Lauren Perren leads the team in RBI with 23.

- The two sides have not met since 2019, which saw the pair split a doubleheader in New Haven.
- Yale started the day with a 4-1 win, while the Big Red capped the day with a 2-1 victory.
- Nicole Conway earned the save in the circle in game one with three innings pitched and four strikeouts.

Ivy League Honors
- Emma Taylor was named to the Ivy League weekly honor roll for her performance against Hartford in the circle on April 12. The first year picked up the win with five strikeouts in an 11-1 non-conference victory.
Looking Ahead
The Bulldogs will host their final home series of the regular season on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22 against Dartmouth.
