HANOVER, N.H. – Four Yale pitchers combined on a five-hit shutout and the Bulldogs completed a three-game weekend sweep at Dartmouth on Sunday.
With the win, the Bulldogs have won four in a row and improved to 7-5 in Ivy League play.
Davis Hanson drew a one-out bases loaded walk in the seventh for the only run of the game. The Bulldogs' pitchers did the rest.
Daniel Cohen (2-3) started and pitched six scoreless innings to earn the victory.
Bryant Reese,
Josh Richardson and
Mark Capell combined out of the bullpen to hold the lead.
In the seventh,
Alec Atkinson got the rally started with a one-out double down the rightfield line.
Jimmy Chatfield was hit by a pitch and
Jake Williams beat out an infield single to load the bases before Hanson drew the five-pitch walk.
Atkinson had his second straight two hit game for the Bulldogs. Hanson extended his hit streak to 11 games and also drew two walks in the contest.
The Bulldogs return to action for a midweek non-conference game at Quinnipiac on Wednesday. Next weekend, Yale travels to first-place Penn for a three-game series.
