Jake Williams had two hits and scored a run in an 11-4 loss at Quinnipiac on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bulldogs scored one in the fifth and two in the sixth to take an early lead.
Max Imhoff started the fifth-inning rally with a one-out double and eventually scored on an error.
In the sixth,
Jeff Pierantoni capped a two-out rally with a two-run single. Williams doubled and
Davis Hanson walked to get things going.
Bryant Reese started and pitched four scoreless innings for the Bulldogs. Quinnipiac scored all its runs over two innings – 5 in the sixth, and 6 in the eighth.
AJ Gaich,
Robert Ciulla and
Ben Metzner each had a hit for the Bulldogs. In the eighth, Gaich singled, stole second and third and scored on an error for Yale's final run of the day.
Yale returns to action this weekend with a three-game series at Penn.
