How It Happened
- After two and a half scoreless innings, it was Yale who found the scoresheet first. Ava Kang worked the count, earning first base for her efforts in the lead-off spot. The first year picked up a stolen base in the next at bat. Kang would then advance to third on a fly-out.
- Libby Peoples hit an infield grounder, reaching on the fielder's choice, and scoring Kang in the process. Willa Ferrer ripped a double to right center that snuck past the right fielder and rolled to the fence, allowing Peoples to score.
- Fairfield picked up a run in the top of the sixth inning to slice the deficit in half.

Notes
- Maddie Latta picked up her third win of the season in the circle allowing just one hit and struck out three in five innings pitched.
