NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Bulldogs wrap up the road portion of their Ivy League schedule and look to continue their winning ways with matches at Harvard and Dartmouth this weekend.
Yale notes:
- The Bulldogs enter the weekend 15-3 overall, 10-0 in conference play, and have won 11 straight. Yale has also clinched a spot in the conference post-season tournament.Â
- With a victory or a Princeton loss, the Bulldogs will clinch a share of the Ivy League regular season title.Â
- Yale won at Princeton and Penn last weekend. The Bulldogs had their streak of 19 straight set victories snapped in the second frame against the Quakers.Â
- Carly Diehl was named Ivy League Player of the Week for her efforts last weekend.  Diehl tied a career-high with 10 kills in the victory over Penn on Saturday and hit .591 for the weekend. In addition to setting 59 assists, she also averaged over two digs per set, served five aces and added three blocks. Diehl leads the conference in assists per set (10.58) in Ivy League matches.
- Diehl is one of five Bulldogs to earn a weekly honor this season. Gigi Barr was named Player of the Week last week and on Sept. 25, Audrey Leak was named Player of the Week and Abraham was selected as the top rookie of Oct. 2, and Betsy Goodenow earned Rookie of the Week honors on Sept. 18.
- First-year Laurece Abraham posted a career-high eight blocks tonight, and leads the team with 31 in Ivy League matches. Abraham was named to the Ivy League weekly honor roll this week.
- Yale ranks in the top-50 nationally in four categories: kills per set (21st), hitting percentage (23rd), assists (35th) and service aces (44th).
- Audrey Leak continues to lead the Ivy League in kills per set (4.00) and points per set (4.35) in conference play.
Scouting Dartmouth
The Big Green (8-11, 5-5 Ivy) defeated Columbia and Cornell last weekend and stand one match behind fourth-place in the Ivy League standings. The top four teams earn a spot in the Ivy League post-season tournament. Dartmouth has four student athletes averaging at least two kills per set in conference play. Yale swept Dartmouth in New Haven earlier this season.
Scouting HarvardÂ
The Crimson enter the weekend 13-6 and 6-4 in the Ivy League. Last weekend, Harvard defeated Columbia and lost to Cornell in five. The Crimson team leads the Ivy League in blocks, having made 190 total blocks with an average of 2.68 blocks per set. In the Crimson's win over Dartmouth, Harvard made 23 blocks, which is the most so far of all Ivy League matches. Yale defeated Harvard 3-0 in New Haven last month.
