LAST GAME
Yale (5-3, 1-0 Ivy League) had a marathon battle at Fairfield Sunday after winning 3-2 in overtime at Brown Friday. The Bulldogs tied their game with the Stags with 2:24 remaining on a goal by senior midfielder
Théodora Dillman (Lancaster, Pa.). After a pair of scoreless overtime periods, the game went to a shootout. The shootout took nine rounds before Fairfield came away with the win.
HOME SWEET HOME
Friday marks Yale's first home game in 19 days. The Bulldogs play six of their next seven games at Johnson Field. They are 13-3 in their last 16 home games, dating back to Oct. 19 of 2019.

AMONG THE IVY'S BEST DEFENSIVELY
Yale is allowing only 1.63 goals per game – tied for second-best in the Ivy League. Harvard ranks first (0.88 goals per game).
TAKING ON THE BEST
Friday's game marks Yale's first against a ranked opponent this season – and it starts a stretch of three ranked opponents in four games. A week later the Bulldogs visit No. 15 Harvard. Two days after that, they host No. 20 UMass.
DILLMAN AMONG IVY LEADERS
Senior midfielder
Théodora Dillman (Lancaster, Pa.) enters the weekend tied for sixth in the Ivy League with four goals and tied for ninth in the Ivy League with nine points. She is a three-time All-Ivy honoree, having earned second team All-Ivy League twice and honorable mention All-Ivy League once. Last season she was fifth in the league in points (24) and tied for fifth in goals (nine).
50 YEARS OF WOMEN'S VARSITY ATHLETICS AT YALE
In October, Yale will have two home field hockey games on the weekend that Yale Athletics celebrates 50 years of women's varsity athletics.
That celebration takes place Oct. 14-16.
SCOUTING PRINCETON
Princeton (5-4, 1-0 Ivy League) has four one-goal losses this season, including 4-3 to No. 1 North Carolina, 2-1 in overtime to No. 2 Northwestern and 2-1 to No. 5 Louisville. The Tigers are coming off a 3-2 overtime loss to unranked Lafayette in which they outshot the Leopards 21-9.
SCOUTING QUINNIPIAC
Quinnipiac (4-5, 0-2 Big East), which plays at Liberty Friday, has lost four of its last five games. Ten of the last 12 games between Yale and QU have been decided by one goal, with four going to overtime. The teams have split their last 12 meetings.
