NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The No. 16 Yale field hockey team had six student-athletes honored by the Ivy League Wednesday as the league announced its annual awards. Yale's honorees were:

First Team All-Ivy League
Second Team All-Ivy League
Honorable Mention All-Ivy League
Academic All-Ivy League
The All-Ivy League team is determined by a vote of the league's eight head coaches.

Yale's honorees have helped the team to a historic season. The Bulldogs have 12 wins, tied for third-most in a season in school history. They have been ranked as high as No. 14 in the NFHCA National Poll. And this Friday they will make their first appearance in the Ivy League Field Hockey Tournament, playing as the No. 3 seed. They face the No. 2 seed, Princeton, at 2:30 p.m.

Here are notes on Yale's honorees:

Poppy Beales
Beales solidified herself as one of the top offensive players in the league, and she currently leads the league with a career-high 12 goals. She ranks seventh on Yale's career goals list (31) and 10th on Yale's career points list (65). Beales has started 48 games in a row. She earned first team NFHCA All-Mideast Region and first team All-Ivy League honors as a sophomore and a junior.

Beales is a graduate of Framlingham College.

Kaitlyn Chang
Chang has enjoyed a breakthrough season, starting all 16 games and notching a pair of assists. In 2024 she received the Yale field hockey team's Senior Award, awarded by the senior class to a first-year team member who reflects positive contribution to the team's philosophy and whose individual character encourages the future direction and excellence of Yale Field Hockey. Last year she also earned the NFHCA Scholar of Distinction Award.

Chang is a graduate of St. John's School.

Victoria Collee
Collee has been one of Yale's top playmakers for two seasons now. This year she has started 15 games and is third on the team in goals and points (7-2-16). Last year Collee was a second team All-Ivy League and second team NFHCA All-Mideast Region selection.

Collee is a graduate of Gemeentelijk Gymnasium Hilversum.

Chiara Picciafuoco
In 2024 Picciafuoco became the fifth Bulldog to earn the Ivy League Rookie of the Year Award, and she was also a first team All-Ivy pick. This season, she has continued making an impact as one of the team's top offensive players. She has started all 16 games, contributing a pair of goals and a pair of assists. Last year Picciafuoco was a second team All-America and first team All-Mideast Region selection by the NFHCA.

Picciafuoco is a graduate of Belgrano Day School.

Amelie Schwarzkopf
Schwarzkopf emerged as Yale's starting goalkeeper and has delivered a pair of shutouts while posting a .766 save percentage and a 1.25 goals-against average. In her 15 games played, she has limited Yale's opponent to no more than one goal 10 times.

Schwarzkopf is a graduate of Dreilinden Gymnasium.

Hettie Whittington
Whittington has developed into one of the most complete players in the league, contributing at both ends of the field. As a center back, she has anchored a defense that has allowed only 19 goals in 16 games. As one of the team's primary options on attack penalty corners – and on penalty strokes – she has delivered career highs in goals, assists and points (9-8-26). Last year Whittington was a first team All-Ivy League and first team NFHCA All-Mideast Region selection.
