NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale volleyball team reclaimed a share of the top spot in the Ivy League on Saturday night with a 3-1 triumph over Cornell at the Lee Amphitheater.
The Big Red was the last remaining undefeated squad in the Ivy League. However, after the visitors took a 25-18 win in game one, Yale roared back with wins by scores of 25-18, 25-15 and 25-22.
Both teams are now 6-1 in the Ivy League.
Kathryn Attar posted a double-double for the Bulldogs, as she closed with 12 kills and 12 digs while hitting .276. Team captain
Izzy Simqu had nine kills and hit .412, while
Samantha Bray added eight kills and posted a .278 hitting percentage.
Frances Arnautou had 38 assists, six digs and four kills.
Maile Somera registered a team-high 19 digs, while
Ellis DeJardin contributed 10 digs and five kills.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Oct. 26 for a match at Brown.
