NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Bulldogs continued their home dominance with a 3-0 sweep of Columbia at the Lee Amphitheater on Friday night.
WIth the win, the Bulldogs improved to 5-1 in the Ivy League and set up a key match tomorrow night when first-place Cornell comes to New Haven. The Lions fell to 3-3 in league play. Â
The scores of the match were 25-20, 25-17 and 25-19. Â
Yale dominated at the net with a 14-4 edge in block assists and hit .378 for the match, including a .438 clip in the final set.Â
Kathryn Attar led the way for Yale with 12 kills and nine digs while hitting .391. Team captain Izzy Simqu had nine kills and hit .615, while Samantha Bray added seven and hit .700 without an error.
Frances Arnautou had 32 assists, six digs and five kills. Â At the net, Simqu had four block assists, while Tristin Kott and Bray both had three.Â
