Box Score 2 Brother of Brittany Labbadia Tragically Passed Away In January
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – More than local bragging rights will be on the line when the Yale and Quinnipiac softball teams play a doubleheader on Wednesday, Apr. 13 in Hamden. The teams will be honoring the memory of Chris Labbadia, the brother of Yale senior Brittany Labbadia and the son of Quinnipiac assistant coach Lynn Labbadia. Chris, who tragically passed away after a car accident in January, will forever be known for his love, acceptance, loyalty, passion and laughter.
Both Yale and Quinnipiac will raise funds leading up to the game, and all proceeds will go directly to the Chris Labbadia Memorial Fund.
Donations also will be accepted at the games, and LabzStrong… N'Flex bracelets will be on sale. Chris was well known for ability to "flex," the ability to take a picture if yourself doing something that raises a thought in someone's mind.
"The Labbadias have been great supporters of our program for four years, and anything we can do to continue to be there for them today and in the long run, we will do so," said Yale head coach Jen Goodwin. "We are honored to take part in a game for Chris. We have heard so many amazing stories about him the past few months and want to help keep his legacy alive and strong. He left his mark on all of us, and is missed by anyone who came into contact with him --- more than words can be expressed."
