Box Score Fairfield Visits Reese Stadium; Game To Be Shown On CPTV Sports On Tape Delay
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's soccer team will look to complete a sweep of its in-state opponents when Fairfield visits Reese Stadium on Monday. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. and the game will be televised on tape delay by CPTV Sports in Connecticut. It will air on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Yale already owns victories this season over Hartford, Sacred Heart and Central Connecticut. The Bulldogs (6-7) will have their hands full with the Stags, who have won six of their last seven games and are 9-4-2 overall.
Yale is coming off a hard-fought 2-0 home loss to Penn on Saturday. The Bulldogs played well early, but the Quakers used a pair of second-half goals to escape with the victory.
Fairfield, which beat Iona 4-0 on Saturday, is led by Shannon Fay, who has four goals and 10 points. Kathleen Early has started 10 games in goal and has a 0.88 goals against average.
Yale has won the last five meetings with Fairfield, including a 3-0 decision last year. Melissa Gavin, Mary Kubiuk and Enma Mullo '12 scored for the Bulldogs. Yale leads the all-time series 9-2-1.
