Samira Razavi joined Yale Athletics in October 2023 as an assistant athletic trainer. In her role, she supports the men's soccer program as well as the track and field team.

Prior to joining Yale, Razavi worked as an athletic therapist with the Canada Soccer for four years. Razavi also has experience working with IMG Academy, Futsal Club Toronto, George Brown College as well as the Ontario Soccer Association.

In a volunteer capacity, Razavi has served as an athletic therapist at the Ontario Winter Games and a first responder for the CIS Women’s Hockey Tournament.

A graduate of the University of Toronto, Razavi earned a degree in physical education and health, an athletic therapy certificate from York University, and a massage therapy certificate from Kikkawa College in Toronto. Additionally, Razavi is a registered massage therapist through the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and a first aid instructor through the Canadian Red Cross.

Razavi was born and raised in Kobe, Japan, moving to Canada to continue her education, and then to the United States to pursue a career in athletics. Â
