Madison Vargas joined the Yale Athletics Medicine staff in August 2024 as an assistant athletic trainer. In her role, she supports the football and men's and women's fencing programs.
Prior to Yale, Vargas was the co-head athletic trainer and kinesiology instructor at Kilgore College. While at Kilgore, she served as the head athletic trainer for the football and women's basketball teams. She also taught several kinesiology classes.
Vargas graduated from Tarleton State University in 2020 with a B.S. in kinesiology. She later earned her master’s degree in athletic training from Tarleton in 2022. While at Tarleton, Vargas was an MSAT student with the school's football and baseball teams.
Vargas holds an IASTMÂ Certification through dynamic release and an SFDN1 Dry Needling Certification. She is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
In her free time, Vargas loves to go on walks with her dog, Jack.
