Yale

Maddie Searle joined the Yale Athletics business office staff in October of 2022 and was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director, Business Operations in January 2025. 

Prior to joining the Bulldogs, Searle spent 2021-22 as an administrative assistant for Wesleyan Athletics, including the Freeman Athletic Center and all 30 varsity programs. She assisted coaching staffs, student-athletes, visitors, vendors as well as other individuals and companies. 
 
Prior to her stint at Wesleyan, Searle served remotely as an athletics account manager for Road Rebel Global starting in June 2021. She oversaw team travel for 90 athletic teams spanning NCAA Divisions I, II and III. Searle negotiated directly with hotels to accommodate client budget needs and amenities while she worked with housing, air and ground coordinators to ensure client needs were met. 
 
Searle was the Director of Basketball Operations for the University of Hartford women’s basketball team for two seasons (2019-21). Hired as part of former UConn star Morgan Valley’s coaching staff, Searle’s duties included scheduling, travel, budget and day-to-day logistics. She supervised student managers, worked with academics and compliance offices to ensure NCAA qualification and assisted with planning of recruiting activities, including graphics and official visits. 
 
Searle’s first position after her undergraduate years was as a graduate assistant with the University of Arizona women’s basketball team for two seasons (2017-19). She assisted in all aspects of recruiting including graphics, managing weekly send outs and aiding in official/unofficial visits.  She also was the summer camp coordinator, assisting in setup, registration and scheduling. 
 
Searle earned her master’s in educational leadership at Arizona, sporting a perfect 4.0 GPA and graduating in May 2019.

Searle spent her undergraduate years at Penn State, where she earned her bachelor’s of science degree in human development and family studies with a minor in psychology in May 2017. She spent four years as a manager for the Penn State women’s basketball team (2013-17) and was promoted to interim director of basketball operations in the second semester of her senior year (February 2017). As the head manager during her junior and senior years, Searle oversaw a staff of 11 student managers and supervised practice setup, game day activities and the tracking of team statistics.
