Hannah Hooper joined the Yale staff in November 2024. She provides professional oversight, support and expertise in the management of fitness, wellness and instructional programs including but not limited to group fitness classes, instructional classes, special events, wellness, mind/body and personal training.
In addition to having taught yoga in a variety of settings, Hooper owns and manages her own yoga business which provides virtual and in-person yoga and meditation to corporate clients, including large pharmaceutical companies and tech firms. Outside of the fitness industry, Hannah has worked as an administrator for the USO Area Office in Okinawa, Japan, where she assisted in the support of active duty military personnel and their families.
Hannah graduated from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay with a Master of Science in Health and Wellness Management in May 2024. Hannah also studied at the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese and Spanish in 2008 and later completed a post-graduate diploma in translation studies from the University of Auckland in 2009.
Hooper grew up in New Zealand and Japan. She currently lives in New Haven, Conn., with her husband, two young children and their golden retriever, Alby. Her hobbies include traveling, yoga and eating out.
