GoEun Lee was promoted to Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director & Chief Financial Steward for Yale Athletics in January 2024 and serves on AD Chun’s senior executive team. She joined Yale in June 2019 as the Associate Director of Athletics for Business Operation and was elevated to Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Business Operations in 2022.

In her role, Lee is responsible for all finance operations and has direct oversight of the business office staff. In addition, she is responsible for the areas of development, corporate sponsorship, ticketing, and the department's fellowship program.

In 2022, Lee was honored as Yale's Working Women's Network Innovator of the Year. Also in 2022, she graduated from Yale’s first cohort leadership and training program, Emerge. Lee is a noted public speaker and has been invited to speak at Yale and Women’s Leaders in Sport.  

Since 2020, Lee serves as Board Member at Leila Day Nurseries, Inc. a nonprofit childcare center serving children of working families from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds. 

Lee came to Yale after serving for five years as the Associate Athletic Director for Accounting & Finance at Palm Beach Atlantic where she managed strategic financial planning for 18 varsity teams and the overall athletic department. She also served as the sport administrator for the men's lacrosse and men's and women's golf teams.

Lee began her tenure at Palm Beach Atlantic as the Director of Compliance and oversaw all NCAA compliance matters for the university, supervised student-athletes' progress toward degrees, and monitored student-athlete eligibility issues. She was promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance in 2015.

In addition to her duties at Palm Beach Atlantic, Lee has served on the NCAA Men's Soccer Regional Advisory Committee and was a consultant on the NCAA SA Leadership Forum. She is also an NCAA Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute graduate.

Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master's in Business Administration from Saint Leo University, and a Master's in Accountancy from Palm Beach Atlantic. As a student-athlete at Saint Leo, Lee stood out on the golf course, becoming the first female golfer in school history to compete in the NCAA Championship. She also excelled in the classroom and was named to the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll on two occasions. She was also selected to the NGCA All-American Scholar Team.
