Abbey Paduano joined the Yale staff in February 2025, bringing extensive experience in athletics administration.
Paduano previously served as Director of Football Operations and Athletics & Events Marketing Coordinator at Colgate, where she managed logistics, oversaw administrative operations, and played a key role in event planning and organization.
In summer 2024, she was selected as one of 40 women working in college sports to attend the NFL Women’s Forum, a prestigious program connecting female leaders in college football with NFL owners, head coaches, and executives for a day-long networking event.
At Colgate, Paduano also led event operations, serving as the primary event manager for six athletic programs, including men’s and women’s basketball and both ice hockey teams. She also played a pivotal role as the secondary manager at major events such as the 2022 Patriot League Men’s Basketball Tournament, ECAC Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey Championships, and the NCAA Regional Tournament for Women’s Ice Hockey.
Before her time at Colgate, Paduano gained experience in venue and gameday operations as a Facility Operations Intern at the Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, N.Y. She assisted in preparing the venue for concerts, press conferences, and entertainment events, while also supporting gameday operations for Utica’s college hockey teams and interning with the Utica Comets in 2019.
A former women’s ice hockey student-athlete at SUNY Cortland from 2017-2020, Paduano earned her bachelor’s degree in sport management before completing a Master of Science in Legal Studies in Human Resources from Albany Law School in May 2022.
