Biography

2015: Appeared in 15 games and made seven starts… First career start came against Maine and first career hit was a single against South Florida.

Off the Field:

  • Volunteer counselor for PLTW Engineering camp for 6th, 7th and 8th graders
  • Volunteered at Boys and Girls Club of America for multiple years
  • Volunteered with SALT (Student Athletic Leadership Team), helped lead students to create service projects and events around New Trier High School

Before Yale: Hit better than .300 in each of her last two seasons with the Illinois Chill 18U Gold travel team… Helped the Chill qualify for the PGF Nationals and win the PGF Midwest Regional… Three-year starter at New Trier High School and was an all-conference selection… Helped New Trier to a pair of conference, regional and sectional championships… Hit .375 with a .523 slugging percentage and 20 stolen bases in her 2013 season at New Trier.

Personal: Born with hip dysplasia and eventually needed surgery as a young child… Selected for SALT (Student Athletic Leadership Team) at New Trier… Volunteer assistant coach for 10-and-under team… Volunteered at Boys and Girls Club of America… Daughter of Judy and Jim Caruso.
