TULSA, OK. – No. 33 Vignesh Gogineni of the Yale men's tennis team opened play at the ITA All-American Championships on Wednesday in strong fashion, defeating No. 99 Lucas Brown of Texas in the main draw singles round of 64.
 
Gogineni and Brown fought through a closely contested first set, with Gogineni edging it out in a tiebreak 7-6 (3). He then closed out the match decisively, cruising to a 6-1 win in the second set.
