NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's basketball team is headed abroad. The Bulldogs will fly to Barcelona, Spain, on Tuesday and then to Nice, France, on Sunday before returning to the United States on Thursday, Aug. 14.
While abroad, the Bulldogs will play two games. They will take on El Pacto in Barcelona on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. CEST (1:00 p.m. EDT). They will face Antibes Select at Stade Foch Antibes on Monday Aug. 11 at 4:00 p.m. CEST (10:00 a.m. EDT).
The Bulldogs will also take part in cultural and educational experiences throughout their time abroad.
The visit to Barcelona will include a tour of La Sagrada Familia Basilica, known as "the largest unfinished Catholic Church in the world". Construction began in 1882. The Bulldogs will also visit Las Ramblas, a famed pedestrian street that runs for approximately three-quarters of a mile and is known for street performers, flower stalls and a variety of shops and restaurants. They will also attend a local cooking class and cook their own dinner one night.
The visit to Nice will include a tour of Vieux Nice, a historic district characterized by narrow, colorful streets, vibrant markets and lively atmosphere. The Bulldogs will also go on a walking tour of Cannes, a town on the French Riviera (the Côte d'Azur).

Rachel Augustine Itua (Alcalá de Henares) and junior forward
Ana Guillen (Badalona).
