CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Yale gymnastics team competed at a quad meet hosted by the University of North Carolina on Friday evening. The Bulldogs registered a team score of 193.050
UNC won the meet with a final score of 196.675, followed by Temple (195.375), Penn (195.075) and Yale.
Top Performers
- First year Hailey Kriz registered the third-highest score on beam with a 9.875. The score matched her season-high set at last week's meet. She was also Yale's top performer on bars and vault.
- Fellow first year Ellie Kearns was also a standout on bars, tying Kriz for the best score on the team with 9.775. Kearns topped her previous best of 9.750
Meet Notes
- UNC is currently ranked No. 23 in the nation, the highest-ranked opponent Yale has competed against this season.
- Sophomore Ella Tashjian tied for the sixth-best score with a 9.800 in floor. It is the sixth time this season that she has met or topped that mark.
- Gigi Sabatini placed fourth in the all-around with a score of 37.525.
