A Look Back
  • Yale finished 18-23 overall with an 11-10 mark in the Ivy League.
  • The Bulldogs tied for the third-best record in the conference, but missed the Ivy League Tournament based on head-to-head results.
  • Yale has placed fifth in the conference standings each of the last two seasons and was picked to finish fifth in the Ivy League preseason poll once again.
  • The Bulldogs graduated seven seniors including All-Ivy selection, Reid Easterly.
Key Returnees
  • Yale returns a strong contingent of players with varsity experience. The Bulldogs did not graduate a single position player who had game experience from last season. Eleven players on this year's team started at least 15 games in 2024.
  • Alec Atkinson, Jake Williams, Jeff Pierantoni and David Hanson will makeup the Bulldogs' infield for the second consecutive season alongside seniors Robert Ciulla and Max Imhoff at catcher.
  • The team relied on first year contributions last season. Kaiden Dossa, Garrett Larsen, Chace Chaplin, Colin Sloan, and Chris DiPrima all return with a year of experience after playing key roles in 2024.
  • With Easterly's graduation, Colton Shaw and Daniel Cohen will serve as the top-two starting pitchers for the Bulldogs.
  • Junior Tate Evans will remain Yale's top back-end option out of the bullpen after a phenomenal 2024 season.
  • Shaw, Pierantoni, Evans, Hanson, and Atkinson were All-Ivy League selections last season.
New Faces The Captain
  • Shaw will serve as the team captain for the 2025 season.
Looking Ahead
  • Following this weekend's series, the Bulldogs will travel to Charleston, S.C. for a three-game set with The Citadel on Feb. 28 to March 2. Yale will play in its first home game of the season on March 12 against Sacred Heart.
