No. 5 Bulldogs Set to Host UMass Lowell Saturday

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The No. 5 Yale women's lacrosse team hosts UMass Lowell Saturday at 12:00 p.m. (ESPN+, International Stream, Live Stats). The game was originally scheduled to be played at UMass Lowell.
 
Last Game
  • Yale beat Quinnipiac 16-6 Tuesday in Hamden.
  • Senior midfielder Sky Carrasquillo (Alpharetta, Ga.), senior attacker Jenna Collignon (Hinsdale, Ill.) and senior midfielder Fallon Vaughn (Concord, Mass.) each had a team-best three goals.
  • Yale outshot Quinnipiac 17-3 in the first quarter and 34-18 for the game.
 
The Bulldogs
  • Yale is off to a 2-0 start this season. Last season the Bulldogs started 9-0 before suffering their first loss. That tied for the longest winning streak to start a season in school history – the 1995 team also started 9-0.
  • Yale's win over then-No. 4 Michigan was recently featured in USA Lacrosse Magazine.
  • Senior attacker Jenna Collignon (Hinsdale, Ill.) has scored three or more goals in nine straight games. Collignon ranks fifth on Yale's career goals list with 152. Tracy Ball '81 is the all-time leader with 209. Collignon is seventh on Yale's career points list with 170. Ball is the all-time leader with 271.
  • Senior midfielder Sky Carrasquillo (Alpharetta, Ga.) is third on Yale's career draw controls list with 206. Izzy Nixon '19 is the all-time leader with 282.
  • Senior midfielder Fallon Vaughn (Concord, Mass.) has 13 straight games with at least one draw control.

  • This is the first meeting between these two teams. The River Hawks' program debuted in 2015.

  • UMass Lowell (4-0, 0-0 America East) has not lost since a 12-11 defeat at the hands of No. 1 seed UAlbany in last year's America East Tournament semifinals May 3, 2024.
  • The River Hawks are ninth in the nation in assists per game (9.00).
  • Goalkeeper Alexa Kuhn leads the nation in save percentage (.643). She is fifth in goals-against average (5.62). Kuhn was a second team All-America East pick last year, and she was also named to the conference's All-Rookie Team.
  • The last time UMass Lowell played an Ivy League opponent was Mar. 16, 2024 – a 15-14 loss to then-No. 23 Brown.
  • Head coach Lisa Miller was the head coach at Yale's Ivy League rival Harvard for 11 seasons – from 2008 through 2018. The Crimson went 8-3 against the Bulldogs in that span.
