Bulldogs Fall in Season Opener at Dartmouth

HANOVER, N.H. – The Yale men's hockey team dropped its season opener to Dartmouth, 6-1, on Sunday evening at Thompson Arena. The Big Green improved to 2-0 on the year.

End of 1 – Dartmouth 2, Yale 0
The Big Green opened the scoring with a pair of first-period goals to take an early lead.

End of 2 – Dartmouth 6, Yale 0
Dartmouth extended its advantage with four goals in the second period, including one on the power play.

End of 3 – Dartmouth 6, Yale 1
Donovan Frias put the Bulldogs on the board in the third period with a strike from the slot.

  • Frias notched his first goal of the season.
  • Dylan Hunt earned his first collegiate point with an assist on Frias' tally.
  • Frias went 10-for-19 in the faceoff circle, while first-year James Shannon won 8 of 16 draws.
