YGT Records Season-Best Score at George Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Yale gymnastics team recorded a season-best team score at a quad meet hosted by George Washington University on Sunday afternoon in Washington, D.C. The Bulldogs totaled a team score of 193.850 topping their previous best of 193.700 set in the season opener at Cornell.

Yale placed in front of Fisk (191.225), and just behind GWU (195.350) and Penn (194.950).

Notable Performances
  • Hana Strause was the Bulldogs' top performer on beam. Her score of 9.825 was a season-high for the junior and was third-best at the meet.
  • Sophomore Ella Tashjian tallied the third-best score with her floor routine, recording a 9.875.
Team Recap
  • The Bulldogs led off on bars, recording a season-high score of 48.000. For the second consecutive weekend, sophomore Lauren Luu was the Bulldogs top performer with a score of 9.725.
  • In the team's second rotation on beam, the Bulldogs recorded a score of 48.325.
  • In addition to Tashjian's performance on floor, first year Ellie Kearns recorded a 9.850, helping the Bulldogs to a 48.950.
  • The Bulldogs finished the meet on vault with a 48.575. First year Lauren Burt stood out with a 9.775 in her first collegiate meet.
