No. 16 Bulldogs Host No. 23 Brown Saturday Afternoon

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The No. 16 Yale women's lacrosse team is 8-0 for the first time since starting the 2001 season 8-0. The Bulldogs are 2-0 in Ivy League play and host Brown Saturday (1:00 p.m., ESPN+, International Stream, Live Stats). 
 
Last Game
Yale (8-0, 2-0 Ivy League) beat Dartmouth 15-5 in Hanover last Sunday. Yale held Dartmouth scoreless from the 5:11 mark of the second quarter to the 0:04 mark of the third quarter, turning a 6-4 Yale lead into a 13-4 Yale lead during that span of 20:07. This was Yale's largest margin of victory against the Big Green in school history. The game had been originally been scheduled for Saturday but was moved to Sunday due to a snowstorm in New Hampshire.

Defense Tied for Second in the Nation
Yale ranks tied for second nationally in scoring defense (7.00 goals allowed per game). Michigan (5.73 goals allowed per game) leads the nation. Individually, Yale first-year goalkeeper Laura O'Connor (Greenwich, Conn.) ranks third nationally in goals-against average (7.62). Michigan's Erin O'Grady is the NCAA leader at 5.26.

Collignon a Midseason All-American Again
Junior attacker Jenna Collignon (Hinsdale, Ill.) was named named honorable mention ILWomen Midseason All-America Thursday. This is her second season in a row earning that honor. Collignon leads the Bulldogs in goals and points (22-2-24) and is second on the team in draw controls with 31. She is on the Women's Watch List for the Tewaaraton Award, given annually to the best collegiate lacrosse player in the nation. 

Pascal Honored
Sophomore defender Emmy Pascal (Lorton, Va.) was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. Pascal led the Yale defense with a game-high four caused turnovers in Sunday's 15-5 win at Dartmouth. She has started all 25 games of her Yale career.

Scouting Brown
Brown (8-2, 1-1 Ivy League) is coming off setting a school record for points in Monday's 24-5 win at Stetson. With 16 assists on 24 goals, the Bears totaled 40 points – besting the previous mark of 36 set in 1986 and equaled in 2011. Brown, in its first season under head coach Katrina Dowd, is third nationally in goals per game (17.50) and fourth in assists per game (9.10) and draw controls per game (18.00).
