STORRS, Conn. – On the first day of the UConn Husky Challenge Thursday, Yale junior
Makayla White opened up her season with a strong showing. White, who has represented Yale in the 60m, 100m, 200m, and the long jump in the past, made her debut in the pentathlon, finishing seventh overall. Her best event at the Husky Challenge was the shot put, where she earned third place with a throw of 10.30m. Full results can be found

Emma Peretti will start their seasons in the shot put and weight throw, with junior
Ivy Pete also competing in the weight throw. The throwing events are scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m.
