UNCASVILLE, Conn. – John Poulakidas picked up his 1,000
th career point as the Yale men's basketball team fell to Delaware, 100-94, to close the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off. Yale moved to 4-4 overall, Delaware improved to 3-3.

- Yale opened the game with a 7-3 scoring advantage to Delaware.
- Delaware responded with a 14-4 run of its own and managed to hold onto the lead for the remainder of the game.
- The Blue Hens' largest lead of the game came at the 15:25 mark of the second half when they led by 18.
- Yale came within four of Delaware's lead on two separate occasions in the second half.

- It was the second career double-double for Nick Townsend. The first of his career came on Nov. 29, 2023, after a 22-point, 15-rebound performance against Stony Brook.
- His 20 points came as he shot 58-percent from the field.
- Bez Mbeng shot 50-percent from the field and was 3-5 from beyond the arc.
- With 19 points tonight, John Poulakidas has registered double-digit points in all eight games this season. He has 20+ in five of those contests.

Looking Ahead
Yale will have a break from action until Monday, Dec. 2 when they wrap a five-game road stint in Kingston, R.I. against the University of Rhode Island. The Bulldogs will return home on Saturday, Dec. 7 for their final game at John J. Lee Amphitheater in the 2024 calendar year against Vermont.
