Bulldogs Dominate Brown 4-1

Box Score NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's ice hockey team got back on track with an emphatic 4-1 win over No. 15 Brown on Saturday afternoon at Ingalls Rink. The Bulldogs showcased a balanced offensive attack with four different players recording goals.

After losing two straight last weekend, Yale earned a crucial conference victory and improved its ECAC record to 3-3-1 with a 4-3-1 mark overall. Brown dropped to 6-3-0 with a conference record of 4-3-0.

Scoring Summary
  • END OF 1 | Through the first 20 minutes, the two teams were locked in a defensive battle with single-digit shot totals on each side. The Bulldogs were able to kill off one power play opportunity for the Bears.
  • P2, 7:31 | YALE GOAL! After a slapshot from Gracie Gilkyson was saved by Brown goaltender Rory Edwards, the deflected attempt was put in on the rebound by Emma Harvey for the first score of the day. 1-0 Yale
  • P2, 11:29 | YALE GOAL! Carina DiAntonio was able to put in Yale's second goal, cleaning up the initial shot from Tijana Miskovic. 2-0 Yale
  • P2, 12:30 | YALE GOAL! Just over one minute later, Gilkyson threw a puck on net from just inside the blue line. Her attempt deflected off a Brown defender's stick and was redirected into the net for the Bulldogs' third goal of the period. 3-0 Yale
  • P3, 4:05 | YALE GOAL! DiAntonio was involved once again, after collecting a rebound along the boards. The junior sent a beautiful back-handed pass into the slot for Anna Bargman who sent home the wrister to extend the Bulldogs' lead to 4-0. 4-0 Yale
  • P3, 13:21 | Brown finally got on the scoreboard on a goal by Cameron Sikich. 4-1 Yale

  • Yale has now won sixth straight against Brown and 17-of-18 overall.
  • Harvey tallied her first goal of the season and fourth point overall.
  • Gilkyson recorded her first goal and first assist of the season.
  • The dynamic duo of Bargman and DiAntonio combined for two goals and two assists. Bargman leads the team with four goals and eight points.
  • Yale goaltender Pia Dukaric tallied 19 saves to earn the victory. Edwards stopped 36 shots for the Bears.
