NEW YORK, N.Y. -- The Yale women's squash team earned a 6-3 victory over Columbia on Saturday afternoon on the road. The No. 7 Bulldogs have now won two consecutive Ivy League contests. Yale sits at 4-2 overall with a 2-1 conference record.
The bottom of the Bulldogs' lineup were the difference makers in Saturday's matchup. The No. 6 through No. 9 positions all earned victories for the Elis.
Meghna Sreedhar and
Rashi Goverdhanam picked up four-set decisions, while
Layla Johnson and
Joy Qu eked out five-set wins. Qu fell behind by two sets, but stormed back to win the final three frames.
Gigi Yeung won in straight sets and Sneha Sivukamar tallied a victory in the No. 2 slot.
