Bulldogs Fall to Harvard in Ivy Tournament Opener

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Yale softball team fell in five innings to Harvard, 12-3, to open the Ivy League postseason tournament. The loss puts the Bulldogs at 20-22 overall, while the Crimson improved to 27-14-1.
 
How It Happened
  • B1 | Harvard grabbed three runs off two hits in the first.
  • T2 | In the following inning, Carmen Muscolina earned a lead-off walk. With a 1-2 count, Sophie Woodridge then knocked in Muscolina with a double to left field. Carolyn Skotz came up big with a two-out, two-run home run that tied the game at three aside.
  • B2 | The Crimson responded in the bottom half of the inning with four runs to regain the lead.
  • B3 | Harvard added five runs in the bottom of the third.
  • Despite the Bulldogs holding the Crimson in the fourth, they could not recover from Harvard's early push.
