BOSTON, Mass. – The Yale softball team split a pair of games against Boston University with a 13-0 loss and a 2-1 victory, at the BU Softball Field. The Bulldogs improved to 6-13 overall, while the Terriers moved to 20-7.

Game 1: Boston University 13, Yale 0 (5 innings)
- BUÂ picked up five runs in the second inning off three hits.
- The Terriers recorded seven runs in the third inning on five hits.
- The home side capped the scoring in the fourth inning with a single run.

Game 2: Yale 2, Boston 1
- Yale rebounded in game two behind a tight defensive effort.
- Nicole Conway had a strong start in the circle for the Bulldogs, retiring the first nine BU batters through three innings.
- Sam Goodcase got things rolling for the Bulldogs with a single to center field in the third inning. In the next at bat, Carolyn Skotz knocked a single up the middle.
- Willa Ferrer took her turn at the plate, and with two outs, ripped a single up the middle to score both Goodcase and Skotz.
- It wasn't until the bottom of the sixth inning that BU gained some momentum off the bats. A lead-off single to left field gave the Terriers a baserunner with the tying run at the plate. Boston snagged a run in that at bat with a single to right center. The Bulldogs' defense shut them down, retiring the next three batters to keep the lead.
- Seventh inning action saw Conway and the Yale defense shut down Boston's offense to secure the victory.

- This was Yale's first victory over BU since 1996. That game saw the Bulldogs win 3-1 on April 12, 1996, in Boston.
- The Terriers currently sit atop the Patriot League.
- Nicole Conway picked up her third win of the season in the circle.
- It was also Conway's second complete game of the year.
- Willa Ferrer went three-for-six on the day with two RBI.
- Carolyn Skotz went two-for-four in game two with one run scored in game two.
- Sam Goodcase went one-for-three with one run scored in game two.
