Bulldogs Engineer Victory Over RPI

TROY, N.Y. – Four different goal scorers found the back of the net as the Yale women's hockey team took down Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), 4-2, at Houston Field House. The Bulldogs extended their winning streak to 15 games and improved to 23-1-1 overall and 16-1-1 in the ECAC, while the Engineers fell to 9-20-1 overall and 4-13-1 in the conference.

  • P1, 6:39 | Vita Poniatovskaia banked a pass off the back wall for Elle Hartje to sneak into back of the net from the goal line.
  • P1, 7:21 | Olivia Muhn's defensive pinch on RPI's breakout led to Yale's second goal of the day. After Muhn stepped up, Carina DiAntonio swiped the puck, took the open ice and threw it on net for the goal.
  • P1, 18:07 | Charlotte Welch snagged the puck out of a scramble in front and slid it up to the left faceoff dot for Emma Seitz to launch into the back of the net.
  • P2, 8:42 | The Engineers got one back in the second period to cut Yale's lead to two.
  • P3, 12:03 | Yale's fourth goal came as Anna Bargman attempted to find Elle Hartje cutting in front of goal. The puck bounced off the skate of Hartje and landed at the stick Jordan Ray for the finish.
  • P3, 18:40 | With just under two minutes to play, RPI netted a goal to split the Bulldogs' lead in half.
