WALTHAM, Mass. – The Yale men's fencing team continued its hot start to the 2023-24 campaign, winning all seven matches at the Brandeis Invitational on Sunday.
The Bulldogs performed well in all three disciplines throughout the event, but were particularly dominant in the saber, scoring 50 out of a possible 63 points in their seven matches.
The team's big win of the day came in the fourth round against No. 8 St. John's. Although the Red Storm took both the epee and the foil, the Bulldogs bested them in the saber 8-1 to earn the overall victory by a score of 15-12.
With seven wins on Sunday, the Bulldogs improve to 15-0 so far this season and are currently ranked in the top-10 in the national poll.
