NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Yale women's squash team picked up a hard-fought win over No. 6 Drexel on Saturday afternoon at Brady Squash Center. The two squads were evenly matched with five matches going to five sets. The Bulldogs ultimately vanquished their opponents 5-4, snapping a two-match losing streak against Drexel.
Yale improves to 1-1, while Drexel drops to 2-3 this season.
Sneha Sivakumar had the match of the day for the Bulldogs. After winning the first set, Sivakumar dropped the next two and was on the brink of losing the fourth. But the senior stormed back to win 15-13 and followed it up with a dominant 11-4 victory in the fifth and final set.
