RESULTS
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's swimming and diving team is off to a strong start at Kiphuth Exhibition Pool and in Ivy League meets. The Bulldogs defeated Columbia 201-99 in the Ivy and home opener.
Yale is 2-0 overall on the young season.
STRONG START
The Bulldogs had the top three finishers in the diving, the first event of the meet.
DOUBLE WINNERS
Caroline Riggs and
Ava Franks both won two events to lead Yale. Riggs captured the 500 (4:57.28) and 1000 (10:04.04) freestyles, while Franks was victorious in the 200 breaststroke (2:14.84) and 200 individual medley (2:04.14).
OTHER WINNERS
Other winners for Yale were
Quinn Murphy in the 100 backstroke (56.95),
Jessey Li in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.41),
Lilly Derivaux in the 200 butterfly (2:01.80) and
Vivian Weng in the 100 butterfly (54.74).
RELAY SUCCESS
Yale had the top two finishers in the 200 medley relay and also won the 400 freestyle relay.
