NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Bulldogs look to extend their win streak as they open the second half of the Ivy League season on Friday with a match at Brown.
Yale notes:
- The Bulldogs defeated Harvard and Dartmouth last weekend to increase their overall win streak to eight matches, and have won 18 straight home matches. Â
- Yale is 12-3 overall and 7-0 in the Ivy League.
- Mila Yarich and Betsy Goodenow were named to the Ivy League weekly honor roll for their efforts last weekend.
- Audrey Leak leads the conference in kills per set in Ivy matches with a 4.09 average. Â Yarich is third with a 3.28 average.
- Yale has four servers who rank among the top-10 in conference play in aces per set: Cara Shultz (4th), Carly Diehl (6th), Maile Somera (8th) and Mila Yarich (9th). As a team, the Bulldogs lead with 55 aces in 25 sets (2.20 per set).Â
- Senior team captain Maile Somera is second in digs per set in conference play with a 4.71 average.
- Carly Diehl leads the Ivy League in assists per set in conference play with a 11.39 average. Â Â
- Yale is among the national leaders in: kills per set (19th), hitting percentage (21st) and assists per set (31st). The Bulldogs are also 27th in winning percentage with their 12-3 overall record.
The first time they met in 2023:
The Bulldogs exploded to win three straight sets in the conference opener for both teams in a 3-2 victory over Brown on September 22.
Mila Yarich and
Betsy Goodenow led the Bulldogs with 13 kills each.Â
Gigi Barr had 11 kills and hit .409, while
Isabella Mendoza had 10 over the final three sets.
Laurece Abraham had four clutch kills in the fourth set, and
Audrey Leak had a key kill and solo block in the fifth.Â

Brown is 14-3 overall and 5-2 in Ivy League play. In conference play, the Bears lead the Ivy League in lowest opponent hitting percentage, opponent assists per set and opponents kills per set.
