WEST HAVEN, Conn. -- Teddy Hague homered and
Mason LaPlante had two hits in a 4-3 loss to Brown on Sunday afternoon.
Yale dropped to 16-11 overall and 7-5 in Ivy League play.
The Bulldogs led 2-0 after three innings. Yale scored first in the second.
Jake Gehri led off the second with a walk and advanced to second on a sac bunt by
Colton Shaw. Gehri eventually scored on a double by
Mason LaPlante, who went 2 for 4 in the game.
Hague homered to lead off the third.  Brown scored two in the fifth and another run in the sixth to take the lead. Â
Yale tied the game in the seventh.Â
Alec Atkinson led off the inning and was hit by a pitch.Â
Jeff Pierantoni dropped a bunt single and Atkinson advanced to third on the play. LaPlante grounded out to third and scored Atkinson. Â
Brown scored a run in the ninth to retake the lead and held on for the victory.
Colton Shaw started, allowed three runs over six innings and struck out five. Â
Up next, the Bulldogs play at Quinnipiac on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
