WALTHAM, Mass. – The Yale men's fencing team had a very successful day at the Brandeis Invitational, winning three of four bouts.
 
In the closest bout of the day, the Bulldogs, ranked No. 11 in the USFCA preseason poll, edged No. 9 St. John's 14-13. Yale also posted a 16-11 win over Brandeis and a 15-12 victory over MIT. The only blemish was an 18-9 loss to Boston College.
 
The Bulldogs are now off until the Penn State Invitational on Jan. 15.
