NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's swimming and diving team heads to New York City to race Columbia on Friday. The action gets under way at 5 p.m. at Uris Natatorium. It is the first road meet of the season for the Bulldogs, who are coming off a strong weekend at home. Yale cruised to victories over Brown (184.5-115.5) and UMass (221-79).

Ophelia Pilkinton (50 and 100 freestyle) and
Lily Horenkamp (1 and 3-meter diving) were all multi-event winners for Yale in the victory over Brown. Against UMass, first year
Lilly Derivaux was a triple winner, capturing the 100 and 200 butterfly and the 100 freestyle.
Last year against Columbia, the Bulldogs cruised to a 194-106 win at Kiphuth Exhibition Pool.
Columbia is coming off a 177-123 win over Penn last weekend. The Lions defeated the Quakers in 11 out of 16 events. Columbia swept the podium in the 50-yard freestyle and Karen Liu and Emily MacDonald won a pair of individual events to lead the squad. MacDonald was also a part of the winning 200 medley relay. Within the diving competition, Alice Diakova won first in both events, in addition to posting a pair of NCAA Zone qualifying scores.
